Rex Orval Iverson passed into the loving arms of his parents Carter O. and Glenada (Butch) D. Iverson on Jan. 23, 2016.

Rex was brought into this world on April 8, 1970. He lived most of his life in Bear River City. He attended Bear River Elementary, Bear River Junior High, and Bear River High School where he graduated in 1988. Rex attended Bridgerland Technology where he obtained his welding certificates.

Rex spent his summers in Clear Creek working on the farm with grandpa and grandma. He enjoyed his time spent on the farm, hunting, fishing, and working the land. He took pride in whatever it was he was working on.

He had numerous jobs throughout his life, but no matter what he was doing he always made the best of it. He worked for Peter Kiewit Construction as a heavy equipment operator in Denver, Colorado where he worked on the Trex project. He loved coming home and showing us pictures of what he had done and he took great pride in being able to work on such a big project. His employment with Kiewit Construction allowed him to travel to different states working on the roads.

Rex was very passionate about NASCAR, and his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. He enjoyed going to the races in Las Vegas with his sister Joni. Rex was loved by all who knew him and he could and did make friends wherever he went.

Rex married Leslie Ann Anderson and they were later divorced.

Rex is preceded in death by his parents Butch and Carter Iverson, grandparents Sam and Ada Ospital, and Orval and Violet Iverson.

He is survived by his sister, Joni Iverson.

Services for Rex will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, on Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Rex will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Bear River City Cemetery.
