John Hughes

John Marlo Hughes, 84, passed away on January 24, 2020 in Ogden, Utah. He was born on July 29, 1935 in San Luis Obispo, California, to Richard Lewis & Carol Lee Visher Hughes.

John was raised in California, where he attended school. He then attended Cuesta College, where he earned an AA degree in economics. After college, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as a second class petty officer.

On April 10, 1955 John married Marlene Hughes in Los Angeles, California. John worked at Westinghouse as a Warehouse boss.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

John enjoyed reading in his later years, and boxing when he was younger.

John is survived by his wife, Marlene Hughes; daughters, Nancy (Loren) Lebow, Helen J. Abercrombie; brother, Charels; sister, Marsha; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and sons, John R. Hughes and Harold L Hughes.

Funeral services for John will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Noon. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. All services will be held at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.- Tremonton). Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
